The Kestrel 4000 pocket anemometer/weather tracker is the next generation of weather monitoring. It is a very lightweight unit, weighing less than 4 ounces, and is easy to use and features a totally customizable navigation and data display. A single button provides a wide range of environmental measurements. The unit is also capable of tracking and storing up to 2000 sets of data with a featured chart mode. Data can then be uploaded to a PC with the optional Kestrel Interface.

The Kestrel 4000 is built to last and deliver a reliable performance under tough conditions, and is utilized by U.S. Special Forces, combat weather teams, wildland firefighters, smoke jumpers, Mt. Everest expeditions and IRL pit crews. The Kestrel 4000 can often be spotted on The Weather Channel during a hurricane, wielded by an intrepid on-screen meteorologist.

The Kestrel 4000 can be mounted on any standard camera tripod with a 1/4" thread fitting. The impeller can be replaced without tools. This unit is both waterproof and can also float, and comes with a neck lanyard and outer protective case.
