This American Red Cross Solarlink FR600 is just the ticket when your outdoor adventures take you off the grid! Supports S.A.M.E. weather notification technology and employs a digital tuner. It also has a flashlight, an emergency beacon, and an emergency siren. Plus, you can use it to charge your cell phone or MP3 player. It receives the AM band from 520-1700 kHz, FM 88-108 MHz and shortwave 5800-12200 kHz. The FR600 is a self powered unit meaning you can use the hand crank or the built-in solar panels to charge up the internal rechargeable Ni-MH battery pack. In addition, the FR600 can also be used to re-charge that cell phone of yours – making sure you can always contact someone in times of emergency.
