This 3M Scotch Vinyl Electrical Tape, Super 88 is a premium grade, 8.5-mil thick, all-weather vinyl insulating tape. The tape is ideally suited for use in ambient temperatures up to 105°C (220°F), and will also work in cold weather applications down to -18°C (0°F). The tape is also resistant to abrasion, moisture, alkalies, acids, corrosion and varying weather conditions (including ultraviolet exposure). This Vinyl Electrical Tape has been designed with an elastic backing and an aggressive adhesive that ensures a moisture-tight seal for improved electrical and mechanical protection. The extra thickness provides added electrical properties, quicker insulation build-up and abrasion resistance. Meets ASTM D-3005-82A, Type II, UL 510, MIL-I-24391A and CSA.
