The CT200 comes with two active frequencies enabling the user to customize the unit for specific needs. The 2048Hz low frequency is best suited for locating cables and pipes. The low frequency setting provides direct connection to the cable and greatly reduces false coupling with adjacent pipes or cables, and it also allows for a greater locating distance from the transmitter.

The 33KHz high frequency setting is suited for applying the signal by induction, or for high resistance lines. It also sends a stronger signal over a shorter distance when directly connected. In addition, high frequency jumps insulators and rubber gaskets often found in water and gas distribution systems. The CT200 lightweight wand receiver picks up signals while held waist high, eliminating bent over locating. The wand comes with a bubble level to determine depth easily through 45 degree triangulation. The audio control unit has adjustable power output, easily connects to the wand and has an attached belt clip.

All components of the CableTracker U/G fit into customized blow molded compartment within the rugged carrying case.
