Locate radiation exposure with the Handheld Radiation Alert Detector!
Features & Applications:
The Handheld Radiation Alert Detector is a portable and compact monitor that detects radiation exposure in almost any situation. It is a battery operated device which runs on only one 9-volt alkaline battery. With this monitor there are no external wires or probes. It features three selectable ranges of detection for four different types of radiation: alpha, beta, gamma, and X-ray.
To alert the user of exposure, the Handheld Radiation Alert Detector has a count light and a beeper to provide an audible and visual warning when ionizing radiation particles strike the Geiger-Mueller tube detector. This monitor has an easy-to-read display with an industry standard Geiger tube in an ABS plastic shell. It is an ideal tool to have in hospitals, research labs, power plants and rescue units.
