The stainless steel Wipe Test Plate slides easily onto your Handheld Digital Radiation Alert Detector positioning the depression and wipe directly in front of the Geiger-Mueller (GM) tube window at a fixed distance of 1 centimeter. It is removable for general surveying or decontamination. It can also be used for protecting the GM from damage and the instrument from being contaminated while it is not in use. (patent #5,936,246)
