Comments about Core Distribution Xtend & Climb 12.5 Ft. Telescoping Type II Ladder:

Looks good so far but too new to have a performance history. Looked back a PE advertising and did not see that it is made in China until it was recieved. Probably would have purchased the more expensive had I known. After the drywall, kids toys, dog food etc, trust is an issue with these guys. Hope the ladder doesn't implode after some designated time period.

I've used telescopic or expandable ladders for years in my inspection business. The advantages are obvious or else you wouldn't be reading this. The Xtend & Climb is the best of the bunch.

Comments about Core Distribution Xtend & Climb 12.5 Ft. Telescoping Type II Ladder:

I'm on my second one. I'm a home inspector and I love being able to drive an energy efficient vehicle and have a decent ladder. The worst problem I have experienced is that after the ladder is caught in the rain a time or two, it gets very difficult to open and even harder to close. I may have to try another ladder, but I don't want one any heavier.

          • Interior attic access

Comments about Core Distribution Xtend & Climb 12.5 Ft. Telescoping Type II Ladder:

These ladders are exceptional when performing inspections on homes, gaining access to attics through ceiling hatches and getting to homes roofs with multiple levels. Beware though when it has been used for a while loccking mechanisms donot always lock and tend to stick. If you step on rung without makeing sure it is locked it will kick to the side and you will fall. I have been on ladders for over 10 years and the 2 times I have fallen were on this ladder. Suggest the carry case but Sholud be included or less $ when you buy the ladder.

Comments about Core Distribution Xtend & Climb 12.5 Ft. Telescoping Type II Ladder:

The problem with these ladders is that after a few months the adjustments don't always click into place and can sometimes fool you in thinking its ok to step on only to find yourself leaning to one side or come tumbling down. Unfortunately they don't seem to come with a very good warranty.

This light weight but very strong product has made it possible for me to easily gain entrance to many attics and crawlspace during the inspection process. The 12 1/2' length seems to be just the right length for the majority of climbing needs around a home. Everyone asks where I got it and I don't hesitate to tell them.
